Decandent, abandoned or ruined locked doors, where the "locking" reveals its double meaning: desires which can't be deleted from our minds (locked in our memory) and desires which are currently inaccessible (lost or too far away). DESIDERIO (Desire) = dal lat. DESIDERIUM. Movimento della volontà verso cosa che ci manca. Dicesi anche fig.: il dolore per la perdita di cosa o persona cara. DESIDERARE (To Desire) = dal lat. DESIDERARE composto dalla particella intensiva DE e SIDERARE che ha il senso di fissare attentamente le stelle [lat. SIDERA]: quasi dica "fissare cupidamente lo sguardo ad una cosa che attrae" (v. Considerare). Altri dando al prefisso il significato di allontanamento spiega DE-SIDERARE "togliere lo sguardo dalle stelle per difetto di auguri", quindi "mancare di cosa o persona bramata" ________________ Full view please. |
